Apartment for rent in Costa Tropical - La Herradura  Lounge |  Kitchen |  Main Bedroom |  Terrace | This comfortable and well equipped 90 square metre apartment is located on the west side of La Herradura bay below the Cerro Gordo National park in Las Palomas, a quite and tranquil setting with many trees, gardens and lovely views of La Herradura Bay and mountains.
The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms; 1 double, 1 twin newly reformed bathroom with shower over bath. There is a large lounge/dining room with CD music centre and Satellite Free to Air TV system and DVD. There is a newly fitted well equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge freezer etc. The apartment has cooling fans and heaters and sleeps 4/5 people. The rear terrace has a dining table, chairs, parasol and reclining seats; this receives sun all day and overlooks tropical gardens and partial sea view. A travel cot/bedding and fold up bed are provided for an extra child. Private parking is available outside the apartment - there are no stairs or lifts. Pets are not allowed, guests are requested not to smoke inside the apartment.

Padel is a great game – a mixture of tennis, table tennis and squash – played with tennis balls and a small leather racquet. Racquets can be hired at the club.
There is an excellent public swimming pool close to the apartment with a bar which serves snacks and offers pool and table tennis - ideal for a family holiday where children can make friends easily. A small swimming pool is available for children and there are well kept gardens and grassed areas to relax in. The Cerro Gordo National park is a short walk where an abundance of wild life can be seen with excellent panoramic views over the Mediterranean.
La Herradura is one of the few remaining unspoilt villages on the Costa Tropical that can offer a truly Spanish experience in a tranquil environment. The town is situated on the beach road with many outside bars and restaurants. Water sports, tennis, walking, sailing, horse riding and hang gliding are some of the many activities that are available. Granada, Alhambra, Las Alpujarras mountains and the Sierra Nevada are all within easy travelling distance. The nearest town Almunecar is 3 miles east and Nerja is 7 miles west.
| NEARBY AMENITIES Boats can be chartered from The Marina Del Este. Day trips can be organised around the coast with photo a stop at a remote beach for snorkelling and refreshments. There are many tennis courts where visitors can play. Two courts are available on Los Palomas. One of which is attached to our Apartments in "Los Girasoles". Another is located at The Marina Del Este. These can be booked in advance and are inexpensive.
Three golf courses are within easy reach of La Herradura. These are not championship courses but are located in beautiful surroundings and are substantially cheaper than some of the more prestigious courses around Marbella. A typical example is Camp De Golf at Salobrena. This is a 20 minute drive and is located on the beach. The club house, restaurant and bar are all newly built. The course is 2 x 9 holes . The green fees are 22 Euros (£12.50).
For the family who would like to play a couple of rounds of golf while on holiday this is highly recommended. There are many local scuba diving centres. One is located at Pena Parda in La Herradura. Others are available in Almunecar and Nerja.

La Herradura is a quiet and unspoilt village. There is very much to see and do. The apartment is situated in a beautiful and easy assessable location. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and apart from all the basic equipment you would expect to find in this type of accommodation, it also included; TV, Video, Videos, Books, Board games, CD player, CD's, Washing machine, Outside washing lines and a very handy large Fridge freezer. Quality comfortable bedrooms a lovely large balcony where you can relax and unwind in the evening and excellent parking. Our stay in this apartment was like home from home. For a family of five we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this apartment to you with absolute confidence. If you would like to know further details we would be happy to oblige.
