Because MAR AZUL faces South, all the apartments have glorious sea-views and receive their full share of the Sun. My apartment is literally a stone’s throw from the beach, and on the ground floor with just five privacy steps down to the pool and garden complex. It is perfectly situated overlooking the centre-pool area, with the “infinity pool” beyond that, and beyond the infinity pool....Sea....Sea...Sea.....Sea....more sea....and perhaps a ship !
Europe’s finest microclimate played a leading role in the design of both the spacious lounge and master bedroom, both of which feature full-length panoramic windows, wide sliding African-Teak-framed glass doors utilising reflective 'privacy' safety-glass, and incorporating mosquito-net curtains.
Both sliding doors lead out onto the extensive sun-drenched terrace and private manicured lawned area in front, complemented with top quality outdoor dining table, 6 comfortable chairs (2 of which recline), and 2 loungers.

In keeping with the overall impression of elegant but stylish simplicity, the combined effect of the cream-coloured marble floors of the lounge and bedrooms (with their contrasting-coloured border), the beige walls, and the terracotta furnishings, help to create light and bright internal living spaces.
The kitchen has been designed with the finest attention to detail. Top of range dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer are nowhere to be seen, but you'll find them hidden behind beautifully sculptured cupboard doors and under granite work-tops.
The almost decadent use of the highest quality Travertino Marble on floors, walls and surfaces in both bathrooms enhance their clean, crisp, and elegant design, complemented by frosted-glass privacy screens and bidet in both. The main bathroom boasts of a hydro-massage shower in a perfectly-matching marble cubicle, additional rinsing shower over jacuzzi bath, and “his & hers” wash-basins. The underfloor heating makes it a pleasure to use these bathrooms at all times of the year, and ensures quick drying of towels ! Additional deluxe features such as vast electrically heated mirrors ( which never steam-up ! ), sunken halogen lighting, and ceiling speakers, ensure that there’ll be no rushing the ladies out of these bathrooms!
All this enhanced by a totally-enclosed micro-climate air-quality control system, providing whatever temperature you choose throughout the year and throughout the apartment.

| NEARBY AMENITIES The magnificent Selwo adventure Park is only 5 minutes drive away, where you take a tour around this million square metre wilderness aboard a 4-wheel-drive safari truck and get VERY close-up to hundreds of different animals from all over the world. A cracking day out for all ages.
Water-skiing, jet-biking, wind-surfing, sailing, rides on an inflatable, and boat-hire can be arranged from a very nearby beach, or from Marbella or Estepona.
There are 2 tennis clubs within 10 minutes drive where lessons are available.
There's a horse-riding school 5 minutes drive away, offering country or beach excursions.
Sea fishing trips and "swimming with the dolphins" cruises can be booked in Estepona Marina.
At “Funny Beach” in Marbella there’s an aquatic version of bumper-cars, go-carts, mini-bikes, and a reverse bungy-jump.
There’s a diving school at Torreblanca.
There's the superb fantasy-world theme park of “Tivoli world”, suitable for all ages, and a cable-car up a nearby mountain, both at Benalmadena (30 minutes drive away)

Estepona is ideally located for day-trips to Gibraltar to see the Barbary apes, or Ronda, built on both sides of a huge gorge, or even Africa on a ferry.
Even closer by are the ultra-fashionable shops and equally high-class night-clubs of Marbella, and the amazing harbour and fabulous luxury yachts in Puerto Banus, all within a 15 minute drive.
A huge supermarket providing everything you could possibly want in the way of provisions is only a couple of minutes drive away.
Estepona, three more minutes along the coast, provides everythiong else:- The relaxing ambiance of the traditional Spanish tapas bars in the lovely village squares, characterful beach-bars, restaurants of all types, a lovely harbour with regular markets, beautiful wide beaches, and a huge car-park underneath the beautiful new promenade. A delightful town, steeped in history, which has retained all of it's Spanish character.
Closer to MAR AZUL, we have a beach-bar within a few minutes walk along the sand, providing good quality food at good prices, and live music some nights.
Just a little more up-market, and only a stroll away, we have the five Superior starred Kempinski Hotel providing the most exclusive facilities.
And next to the Kempinski Hotel is the "Laguna Village" (www.laguna-village.com), a multi-million Euro complex of up-market shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, and swimming pools, built right on the beach and just 5 minutes walk away along the sand from MAR AZUL. The place to avail yourself of a refreshing swim and a cocktail between shopping in the afternoon and a gourmet meal in the evening !
