Is a little town of the interior part of “La Marina Alta”, which is located at only 18 Km from the nearest beaches and has more or less 1600 people living there.
One of the best qualities of this town is that it is in the centre of the area and that gives Orba the privilege that it has. The traveller gets a mountain and valley sight see, which is rich in agriculture production. It is an idyllic place for tourists who love nature and there are many interesting places to photograph, and where they can do several routes by bicycle or ecological routes.
One of these interesting places is the pottery stalls of Moslem tradition where you can find ornamental pottery. Other constructions that are interesting are: la Cruz floral, the ruins of the castle of XIII century, the moors agriculture structure of the X century that can be found in the area, the Fountains, Arabic motives can be seen in several structures, and washing places designed around 1900. Tiles of the XVIII century can be found in many constructions, the painting house of Ruano Llopis, the Castillo Verde, the Moorish town Awraba, the Lords house of the XV century, and the town church. As pottery is traditional in Orba, the Moorish ovens are another good stop.
As for the local area, there are two traditional population areas: Orba and Orbeta’s streets. The town has been built with an Ibiza style.

It has all the amenities: culture house, a area for expositions, public swimming pool, and several sports clubs, that can be used by every visitor of the area.
In this town there can also be found typical food of the area. In their bars and restaurants, you can taste puchero, rice with meatballs, la borreta or cocas.
If you like the typical fiestas (dances in the square, bulls, etc), Orba has fiestas the second week of May and the second or third of July.
All of this, the people of the town that are opened to the foreigners, the quietness and peace that can be found, makes Orba an idyllic place to stay and rest.
